The Directorate of Student Affairs (DoSA) at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi, has held its inaugural DoSA Day to showcase its initiatives and highlight the collaborative role of stakeholders in advancing sustainable student well-being.
The event, themed "Advancing Sustainable Student Well-being: The Collaborative Role of All Stakeholders," aimed to emphasize student welfare and introduce key offices and initiatives within the Directorate.

Vice-Chancellor, Professor (Mrs.) Rita Akosua Dickson, underscored the university's commitment to student welfare.
"DoSA is tailored to address students’ concerns. Your welfare is paramount, and students are vital in this conversation. We will continue this partnership to ensure the KNUST experience is fulfilling," she stated.
She highlighted initiatives such as the KNUST Off-Campus Student Accommodation Support Services App (KoSASS App), the DoSA Operational Manual and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), the DoSA Newsletter, and the Hygiene Essentials Bank.
Professor Dickson urged stakeholders to collaborate to enhance student well-being, encouraging students to support each other and utilize DoSA's resources.
"Let us continue to work together to improve student well-being and enrich the KNUST experience. Don’t suffer in silence; DoSA is a phone call away. Help us to help you," she appealed.

Professor James Osei Mensah, Chairman of the DoSA Day Planning Committee, outlined welfare support services, including mental health services, financial aid, the food and clothing bank, the Safe Arrival Initiative, and the Student Assurance Plan.
The Deputy Registrar at DoSA, Dr. Paul Kwadwo Addo appealed to benevolent individuals and organisations to donate towards the initiatives.
